Fresh fruits and sweets made from those fresh fruits and souvenirs. If my husband didn’t remind me that I couldn’t bring back the raw food, I would have wanted to bring home a box of grapes and a box of oranges!

Lots of fruit smoothies and fruit ice cream. We also recommend the tempting roll cake as a souvenir, and if you like Japanese fruits, this is definitely the spot to visit!

It’s only been half a day but due to the hot weather, I’m soaked in sweat. So, we decided to take a break while drinking some smoothie that was made with Wakayama specialty Satsuma mandarin and Arakawa peach.

This rich and fragrant smoothie is delicious in both orange and peach flavors, and the sweetness of the fruit itself cools the body. After the break, we got ready and set out for the Kuroshio Market.

If you want to taste some delicious locally produced Wakayama fruits and veggies, here is the perfect place to do it!

Kinokuni Fruit Village is a small fruit market full of fresh fruit and vegetables. All of the fruit produced there is locally grown and it is super tasty! You can walk around and sample different types of fruits or products such as freshly squeezed juices and more. This is also a very good place to buy souvenirs such as honey (I bought some orange blossom honey there that I simply love!), ginger ale (famous local drink), sauces, sweets, and cakes!

WHY YOU SHOULD DEFINITELY ADD WAKAYAMA CITY TO YOUR JAPAN ITINERARY

How to get there: Kinokuni Fruit Village is right across Kuroshio Market, very close to “Marina City” bus stop.

Price: Access to Kinokuni Fruit Village is free.
