For breakfast, I had a bowl of rice topped with plum shirasu, and I was very satisfied to have delicious seafood as the first meal of the day. I was also very happy to have breakfast with a view of the ocean that I could not see at night.
Mr. and Mrs. Ose, who run the inn, told us that they aim to provide “an inn where you can unload your heart” and “true hospitality”. Both of them love Wakanoura and know everything about it. They told us that the scenery has been loved since long ago and that it is associated with various things. They have been working energetically to bring more people to Wakanoura, and has recently registered on a hotel reservation site and is considering and developing mail-order products. Thanks to them, I would like to visit Wakanoura again, and I would like to spread the goodness of Wakanoura myself.
It was a very pleasant stay for me.

From the ocean view room, I enjoyed the spectacular view of the sea and mountains, which were loved by Akahito Yamabe and Emperor Shomu.
The president and landlady talked about their thoughts on Wakanoura and the lodge.
They said that they wanted to make visitors happy by focusing on the best ingredients, and that they were conscious of listening to what people had to say so that they could recommend things that would suit them.
He aims to make the inn a place where everyone can unload their heart and feel energized, and their “true” hospitality, mixed with their love for Wakanoura, was warmer than any other inn I have stayed in.
Wakanoura is known as a scenic spot and has a long history. I hope that the charm of this place will be conveyed to many people.

There is a “Natural Kishu Onsen Genki no Yu” in the inn, which heals your tired body.
The name “Genki-no-yu” comes from the landlady’s wish for her customers to return home feeling energized.
For dinner, I had “Kishu natural red shrimp” as our main dish.
The grilled red-legged shrimp was really big, and the sweetness and firm texture were superb. I also had red-legged shrimp in tempura form. In addition to the red-legged shrimp, I also had assorted tempura, sashimi platter with Monkfish Squid from Wakanoura, and “Hamo no Sukiyaki”, which is a sumptuous dish using local Hamo. Because they want their customers to eat “real” food, the dishes are made with natural ingredients and natural broth, which filled me up.
